Mens 1920′s OMEGA Vintage REGULATEUR Watch w/ TWO DIALS Picture(s) and Description:

OMEGA UNIQUE AND RARE EXAMPLE OF WATCH: REGULATEUR VERY BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE WRISTWATCH CA 1920’s VERY BEAUTIFUL MECHANICAL WORK I proudly offer for sale this REGULATEUR timepiece example made by Omega Factory with TWO separate dials. History of Omega Watches You've no doubt heard the Omega watch name often, but I bet there are MANY facts about this company that you don't know. Read on! Each watch mark has the history. But it is far not everyone makes history as it has made Omega. The history of mark of Omega is rich with various achievements in the field of watch skill which at times amazed the world literally. In the Greek alphabet letter OMEGA is a synonym of total perfection. In watch industry OMEGA is, perhaps, one of the most known marks, a symbol of the absolute design and technology. Louis Brandt started researching and developing pocket watches in 1848 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The quality of workmanship and attention to detail would foreshadow the watches that would later carry the Omega name. Brandt continued making watches there until 1877, when he formed Louis Brandt & Fils company with his oldest son, Louis Paul. Louis Paul and his brother Caesaer moved the company to Bienne two years later. It remains there to this day. Innovators in every way, the Brandt brothers were the first swiss watch makers to use the divided assembly line. Allowing quality watches to be mass-produced, this process also allowed the prices of the watches to be moderated as efficiency improved. The company went through several name changes through the years--Louis Brandt & Frere (1891), Louis Brandt and Frere-Omega Watch Co. (1903), Omega, Louis Brandt & Frere (1947), and Omega Ltd in 1982. Through all of this time and through all of the name changes, the pride in quality of workmanship remained in the Omega watch. While accessible to the general public, the Omega watch has an outstanding history. Omega first mass-produced the pocket watch in 1894. By 1902 Omega introduced the first wrist watch. Omega has been the proud official timer of no less than 21 Olympic Games. Omega watches were designated the official watch of American astronauts and Russian cosmonauts. The Omega watch was the first watch to be worn on the moon. Neil Armstrong made that the case in 1969, and later by all Apollo crews. This timepiece features a handsome crème dial in excellent condition, absolutely no chips of abuse. It is featuring two separate dials: a 60 minute checkered outer track border with Arabic numerals, steel hands, a recessed sub-seconds dial with “sweep” seconds hand and 60 second outer chapter and sub-hour dial with “sweep” hours hand and 12 hour outer chapter with Arabic numerals. The new dial has been professionally updated, and now is in excellent condition. Signed OMEGA with trademark Omega symbol above this and further signed REGULATEUR. This model features a four piece, double-hinged nickel case. The case was made especially for OMEGA. Turning the watch over I note that the back lid is nice and clean. The new lugs are in great condition while the original winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. The inside of the outer case lid is signed OMEGA with trademark Omega symbol and case reference number #5527038. This case reference number repeat inside on the inner case lid. Lifting this lid reveals an inner dust cover lid, also nickel. This was used to protect the mechanism from dust and debris and to provide an extra layer of protection from shock or moisture. Peeking inside I find a spotless and higher-grade 15 Fifteen Jewel lever escapement movement with red Ruby jewels that is signed OMEGA. This beautiful wristwatch has the Original movement in an excellent status which was very well saved, considering age of this watch. Mechanism has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping great, accurate time. It is fitted on a new 22mm black genuine leather strap with chrome gold buckle that is vintage style and goes great with this wonderful watch. Diameter (with crown): 53.00 mm Diameter (without crown): 49.00 mm Watch crystal diameter: 41.00 mm Thickness: 15.00 mm This very fine watch winds and sets very smoothly while keeping very good, accurate time. Because of the vintage nature of the watch I cannot guarantee its absolute time keeping accuracy even if they are in good running condition and in some rare occasions may require additional adjustment.
